If you don't want to take them apart, spray them out with non-chlorinated brake cleaner and the blow them out with compressed air.

When in doubt.....

I think the manual says soak in solvent and blow out. I usually soak, invert and drain for a while, then blow off.

Yeah, I've had them apart, but you've got to take some care in retensioning the rotor correctly, and it can be trial and error. Not rocket science, but pay attention.

Once I realized that I did not necessarily have to strip them, I pretty much stopped doing it, except for a really, really groddy one.
 
Clean?
Mine is plastic, I wouldn't subject to solvents.
But, I haven't used mine in decades. I use a 30 round clip all the time.
