NEW MODELS AVAILABLE WITH SLEEVE AND SHROUD BARRELS
So says Ruger on their web page for the Redhawk.
"Available." Does that mean all current manufacture?
When S&W began that process, the consensus seemed to be a cheapening of the quality. The sleeve and shroud, that is.
Is this a positive or a negative for Ruger?
The protrusion (which my current Rugers do not have) at the end of the barrel. Is that barrel protruding from the sleeve? If it lacks the protrusion, is that how I can be sure I'm getting one with a one piece barrel?
I'm currently in the market for a 44 mag Redhawk. I've owned several, but want one with a shorter barrel. Either 5.5" or maybe a 4" barrel.
