I a working up light 45 Win Mag loads to use for competition, Steel and USPSA. Will use the full moon clips. Doing this to decrease the jump from case to forcing cone, and increase accuracy. I have started with a load between .45 S&W Schofield and .45 Colt, 6 gr Unique pushing a 200gr lead rnfp. Any suggestions or advice.

I came across your 2016 post regarding a Redhawk using moon clips on 45 Win Mag Brass. There did not appear any reply? I’m currently using 45acp in moonclips in my Redhawk 45acp/colt model 5032 for USPSA. Feeding is slow with the round nose bullets. I bought a NOE Spire point mould in 260grains. The 45 Win Mag Starline is supposed to accept ACP moon clips.
Did you finally implement your project and if so how did it go?
