Does anyone know how well hydroshocks work in a Ruger P94? I just bought 20 of them for about $12 and iI dont want to just shoot a few $.50 rounds off at a piece pf paper? Will the cause jams?

They didn't for me, and the only way to find out is to offer up a box in sacrifice.

If you will settle for an opinion only, the shape of the Hydrashok is such that they should not hang up in feeding, but the only way to know for sure is to fire some.

If you want to use these or any other ammo for defense, ask youself if the safety and welfare of yourself and family is worth the cost of a box of ammo. It was for me.

One other input, Ruger autoloaders have a reputation for eating anything fed them. I have the P944 and a P95. Have never had an ammo related problem with either. They have functioned with truncated, round nosed and JHPs. Brands included Federal, Winchester, S&B, UMC, American, Wolf and Speer.

The Ruger P-series are also extremely tolerant of both ends of the pressure spectrum, in that they can digest the hottest of loads (Hirtenberger) to the weakest of loads.

Underpowered range reloads that choked my Glock 17 easily fed through a Ruger P95.

I get the feeling your Ruger will eat any hollowpoint you feed it. My P-95 does. You really should go ahead and shoot those just to make sure though... wouldn't it be kind rough to need it and find out it DOESN'T work in a crisis situation? I'd say it's worth $20.00. I like to use up one full box of HP's every range session just to ensure they function properly in the given gun..

This is one reason I like silvertips, maybe not the best load there ever was, but a good one and I can afford to check point of impact and whether my pistol functions well with it or not.
