Ruger P90, P94

I went shooting with a friend I met online. He had a P944 in .40SW, and a P90 in .45ACP. They were great!!! Digested everything you put in it, was pretty accurate, and with hogue grips, were extremely accurate. I really liked the guide rods on the P90, they were really beefy, and the safeties on them I liked better than other ones. I like when the safety is on, you can pull the trigger, it just does nothing vs. blocking the trigger from being pulled.

From that experience, I was wondering if HK USP's are really worth the money, since I felt that the Rugers performed just as well as any HK I've shot, the alloy frame gave better balance, and the accuracy was pretty good as well, and I can buy both the P94 and the P90 for the price of one HK USP. I like HK's a lot, just way too pricey.

Anybody have any complaints about the P90 or P94? So far, it's one of the few guns I have yet to see something I can really complain about, especially when you factor in the price!

twoblink; I've had all three. Hey, how I spend my money is important to me to. Is a USP45 worth two Rugers? Hard to say. I'd rather have the two Rugers. Ruger pistols are simply the best buy and value on the market today. The Rugers were "stone cold reliable". Nice guns in every way. I got a USP45 when they first came out and maybe put 5,000 rds. though it. Didn't malfunction once. The H&K's are expensive but IMO, worth it. It's nice to know if you grab a gun it will go pop every time. That's the way I felt about the USP45. Good Luck, J. Parker

I like the grip and slide shape on the P93, P94, P95, and P97 better than that of the P89/P90.

Other than that, Ruger's are great guns for the price. I have a P944T (two tone) on the way as a companion piece to my Police Carbine.

Rugers will never replace the Glocks in my collection, but they are the epitome of "Value".

I own a Ruger P-90 and I love it. It will digest absolutely any factory ammo, accurate and rugged, and a snap to break down and clean.. Basically those are the things I look for in a pistol that is meant for business such as H/D or carry..I will admit it's not the most attractive gun in the world though.

I've saw more lemons come from Ruger than I believe any other company. However, each and every gun was repaired by Ruger no questions asked. Their quality control seems to be lacking, but their customer service is first rate. I don't understand the quality control problems, but Ruger has always been the best company I've ever delt with as far as customer service. Plus, you can't beat the prices.
