Ruger = overtime

I know...
The problem is Ruger already has me in the red on my overtime fun money.
They got me three times already this year.. They have their squirrels working over time trying to figure out ways of parting me from my Money.
And its been working.

It's great to see Ruger stepping into the competition type guns. They came out with the GP model for gamers now a 45 acp model.

I think the only other revolver I am ever going to buy is going to be the Alaskan. I would like to get some custom work done to it as well and keep it to pass on through the family.a ruger Alaskan with magna-ports and custom cylinder work to shoot 45acp, 45lc and 454 casull would be my dream gun.

^^here it is, what more would you need? EVER!!

skizzums, Yes, so yes. I feel you. That's so cool that Ruger has a DA .45 ACP/.45 LC pistol. I've been considering building a .460 cut for .45 ACP myself. And for a long time, I've been considering a Super Redhawk cut for .45 ACP, too.

The Ruger Alaskan is probably one of the best looking Super Redhawks. I soooo wish they had the full lug of GP-100's. The Tolkat looks terrible, in my opinion.

And skizzums, you know that I think porting that sucker is a GREAT idea, right? That'd be one fun gun to shoot.

This is the host gun that I'm currently stuck on for a .45 ACP to .460 build: Model 460V Revolver - 5": http://www.smith-wesson.com/webapp/...57771_757767_757751_ProductDisplayErrorView_Y

Researching the modification of my Ruger Alaskan to accept .45 acp, I found
that with this conversion one could shoot:
454
45 Colt
45 ACP
45 Win Mag
460 Rowland

This makes it somewhat competitive for the multi caliber thread ongoing for revolvers.
As well, I like the fact that I can shoot everything from mild cowboy loads, to medium SD loads, to medium woods loads and finally the hottest loads for Grizzlies or dinosaurs!LOL
What more can you ask for one carry revolver.

The Ruger Alsakan rocks!

This is a dumb question but I'm assuming that this new .45 ACP/.45 LC can fire "Ruger Only" .45 LC rounds, right? It represents pretty good value and versatility.
