I just bought a used Ruger No.1 in .300 Win Mag. I thought it was a 1-B but it doesn't have the quarter-rib scope mount on it. It has two target block mounts like the 1-V has. It also has a heavy barrel and a recessed target crown. Ruger's current catalog does not offer 1-V's in .300 Win Mag so I'm thinking I may have got a rare model that's no longer in production.
