Ruger MKIII Trigger

Checking out a 6" markIII and have not handled one in decades since I sold my markI. The trigger felt really cheap and it felt like it had quarter inch play in it be for it even started to feel like it was ready to break. Without anyone else in town to compare to, is this normal or this pistol just a exception an needs a new trigger?

I have shot over 50,000 rounds thru my original Ruger 22/45 in Steel Challenge. There is nothing wrong with the OEM trigger.

Quite often the older guns do have a different trigger feel than newer ones.
Point of impact and sights, too, come to think.
It might have to do with the more Bullseye type techniques that were universally popular back then.
As 9x45 above sez, our steel challenge Ruger Mk2 rimfire never seemed to need any trigger improvement, either.

I wasn't knocking the feel of the newer Mark ii and 22-45s. I have both new versions. Personally and it could just be me but I notice more take up on the new versions that I do not on the Ruger Mark I and Mark II models. The website just offers an alternative to those who may be interested in trying it.
