Well, I just returned from the range. I shot my MK III a whole two clips before it just stopped.
I took the magazine out and pulled the bolt back, but the hammer would not fall. It seems like either the hammer is not resetting or the trigger is not making the hammer fall.
I just tried to take it apart but the main-spring housing will not flip out. My understanding is that the hammer must be down to flip it out, but I can't tell and in any case, it won't budge. When I look in the chamber, it looks like the firing pin might be sticking out of the bolt.
Any ideas?
I wonder how Ruger's service is..., this also makes me wish I had a buckmark.
