Ruger MkII in 22 magnum?

Was there ever, even in a short production run, a ruger mark II semi auto in 22 magnum? Someone I know claims to have one, and I think he is full of it, but I figured i'de ask.

I'm no expert, but I don't think so... I don't think the cartridge would fit in a magazine that could still fit into in the grip.

They did (and do) make the Single Six with interchangeable cylinders, for .22 and .22 magnum.

If this person has anything close, he probably has an AMT.

I once ran across this weird webpage that showed weapons that ruger exported. No pictures just descriptions. It was in the format of a dealer webpage/exporter webpage. ALong with .22 mag mark II it had the ruger subgun and 7.5 inch barrels on folding stock mini 14's. I wish I knew for certain though

No expert here---just looking at the size of the .22 mag cartridge---it would take a MAJOR redesign of the existing pistol----larger grip frame--new magazine---heavier bolt and/or springs---longer receiver etc. So I would have to say probably not.
