Ruger MK-512 .22 w/SoLow Scope Mounts and Tasco Red Dot sights

I have a standard Browning BuckMark with 5.5 inch slab side barrel that wears a Tasco Accu-Dot on a B-Square base.

I like it... alot.

Very quick on game, and targets, and so far (17 months), quite durable.

I have a MKII with the SoLo mount and a Tasco PDP3.
To me, its the best system out there. The mount is
really close to the top of the receiver and the site
lines up quite naturally. This is a mount that once
you install it, you leave it on the gun. It is epoxied
as well as clamped to the receiver. Be sure and write
your s/n down before you install it because the mount
covers it up.

Dot Sights.

I have trouble using them offhand. Any sort of rested position is a totally different story though. Even leaning my arm up against a post does a world of wonders. Given my druthers, I'd druther use the Red Dot than a scope, unless I'm shooting at fly's on the backstop at 25 yards. Even then, if they're those big horseflys, the Red Dot is still a lot of fun. I just don't bag as many.

(My way of saying methinks you're going to redefine the way you look at accuracy. A friend of mine with a Buckmark 5.5 has a Red Dot. He can hit the regular houseflys with it.)

Well, I have the P512. It's a pretty damn accurate pistol, even without all those fancy add on's. The P4 is a dandy too. ;)
