Mark 2 or Hawykeye?
What the difference?

I have found the original M77 to be a great rifle. The new Hawkeye is supposed to have a edited - there is no adjustable trigger.

I have a Hawkeye in .30-06 and the trigger is NOT adjustable. It is very crisp, but will need to be lightened for target applications. GUN TESTS magazine reviewed the .223 Hawkeye and was very pleased, averaging 1.2 inch groups@100 yards with Black Hills 60 grain JSP. The trigger on these guns seems to be breaking between 4-5 pounds, not bad for hunting.

: D

Yeah thanks!
Does anyone know what the Trigger adjusts down to(not Hawkeye)
This would be a target rifle and im stick between this and a Rem 700 SPS

I think that for purely target applications the Remington 700 is a better gun because the trigger can be adjusted and they have a reputation for being very very accurate.

If it were a hunting rifle i would say right off the bat that the Ruger is a better gun because you cant beat CRF actions.
