Ruger M77 markII

I have a ruger m77 markII bolt action. Beautiful rifle and i absolutely love it. This has a mag and trap door. What id like to do is remover the trap door and modify or retro fit for a removable 10-15 round magazine. I have been ALL over the internet and have not been able to find a kit or something to do this. Has anyone done this before or happen to know if there is even a kit available to make this happen?

Long action - I know of no companies that have offered a kit of any kind.
Short action - There was a company selling a kit, about 4-5 years ago, using Accuracy International magazines (like the Ruger GSS). However, the kit was stupidly expensive, at something like $830, unfinished and without fitting.

You'll come out a lot cheaper to just sell or trade for something you want rather than trying to convert. Or just keep it as is and buy a 2nd rifle. Not worth the expense or trouble for me.

I greatly appreciate the searching around regarding this matter. As for selling it....i just cant...lol. i love this rifle! I considered selling it awhile back in an attempt to quickly acquire an AR10 sass but decided to wait and save the money to buy it down the road. I couldnt bring myself to get rid of it. It sits in a collection of very fun rifles and everytime i go to the range its always with me and i always put about 50-100 rounds through it. I really wouldnt change a thing about it aside from modifiying the mag well. The only thing i havent done yet is take it to a smith to see if something could be fabricated. Im assuming that cost would be a bit high but if i cant find a kit or some sort of "modification" then i may bite the bullet and see if fabrication could be done.

zilch

I've never seen anything commercial that would convert a Mark II to an extended mag.

I suppose a talented smith could manage something, maybe, from modified M14 or BAR mags, but the price would be astronomical. This strikes me as one of the "sons of Guns" projects....why bother.

As noted the Ruger Scout has a 10 round commercial box. The Mossberg MVP takes AR mags. Both likely cheaper and more reliably than a stab at a custom job.

Hahahaha....funny you mention that, i accually did write them an email regarding the potential project but never got a response....oh well. Maybe ill take some measurements and start fabricating myself and see what i can do on my own. Maybe make it my long term project.
