Ruger limited edition SS .357

Anybody see one of these yet ? I saw one for the first time today at my local shop. It had gold accents on the hammer and trigger as well as some sharp looking wood grips with "Limited Edition" etched on them. It was, however, quite a bit more expensive than a standard model at $454.00. Anybody know if anything else other than a cosmetic treatment has been done to these ? Like a trigger job maybe.

Was it modeled after an existing model, such as the Vaquero, Blackhawk, or Redhawk?

I've seen one of these on Gunbrokers...

It was a GP100, stainless, 4" heavy barrel, gold on the trigger, hammer and cylinder release.

What interested me was that the barrel had a different twist rate, 1:18 if I recall.

The gold I could care less about. The grips looked OK. What I *really* want to know is whether or not that barrel might be more accurate?

Did they also do some extra cleaning-up of the action and/or internals?

Here's one:

Can anyone comment on the probable results of that barrel twist, and what the normal twist is?

I'm pondering scoring a really nice carry .357 when I win my suit (which is nearing endgame). The gold is no big deal but...what's with that barrel?

Jim
