Nice! Who did the mod? Can they just give me plain white dot front sight? I don't need the tritium or rear sight on the LCP.

Really nice. Although the LCP is meant to be an up close pocket gun, I always thought Ruger could have done a better job with the sights. Yours looks perfect.

I like the idea of having real sites on an LCP.
Do you do the work yourself?
If so, perhaps you could post some prices.
Sending a bare slide would be best.

It's not as rare as you may think; we’ve done close to one hundred of them on the Ruger LCP and Taurus TCP. My husband does the sight mod and I refinish the slide. Refinishing is required due to the machining process on the slide. He uses a front tritium night sight and builds the custom rear sight. He cuts cocking serrations on the front of the rear sight to assist with one finger charging of the weapon. It’s becoming a pretty popular sight mod. Two of the pics I posted are ones a client sent us from his posting on the elsi pea forum.

What kind of money and turn around time for this mod?

Can I get it without the rear sights? (Should be easier and cheaper since you don't have to custom fab a part and mill only one dove tail, right?

Can I get it with a white-dot instead of tritium? (Couldn't imagine why not, since I'm sure whatever sight you use comes in a basic white dot.)

What do you use to refinish the slide?

Please let me know about these questions. I am very interested in this mod. Especially, with just a white dot only front without the rear.

wow thats slick as chit........I CC an LCP from time to time and for me the best I could do is to add a dot of WhiteOut to the front sight to help get on target faster ....
Those look nice but the added cost of sights would make a 300.00 LCP
become a $500 .380........and for 500 bucks I could think of 10 other
pocket guns I would rather own.......but I dig it

Really nice mod. I also like the satin/polished barrel.
Now, can you figure out how to make the slide lock back on the last round? :p

Anyone making a leather holster those sights will fit into? (Bear Creek, etc)

The upgrade is 140 plus 8 return S&H. Sorry, installing a front sight only is not a service that we offer. Phillip is a perfectionist and would not let the work go out unless it was completed fully as a front/rear sight package . The slide is refinished in satin black moly-resin but other colors are available. The turn around time for this project is about 2-3 weeks. I'm not sure as to which holsters folks have been using. I’ve been told that it does accommodate the Bear Creek holster. You would need to check on the elsie pea forum to see what others with the upgrade suggest.

ok, now find a holster that will work.

Good point. It's a nice mod, but it makes the gun easier to snag and less pocketable (as well as slightly heavier), and it's not really a target pistol anyway.

The sights are machined as to not snag and they add 3 grams to the weight of the weapon (less than the weight of a US nickel). While the LCP is not built to be a target pistol, we recently had a constable email us saying that he qualified with a 246 out of a possible 250 out to 25 yards with his LCP sight upgrade. This upgrade is offered to give the shooter every advantage possible against an assailant. That’s also why a couple of times a year Phillip builds a batch of 32NAA drop-in barrels for the LCP.

That's very awesome. What would it cost me to get my hands on one of those little suckers?

I like the look and feel of the 32NAA Guardian, but that trigger is just awful. I've been wishing there was another gun offered in that caliber.

I'd like to know what the criteria is for scoring (target size and distance) as well as time permitted between rounds.

Sure, He stated the following.
Distance- 3 yrds, 7 yrds, 12 yrds, 15yrds, 25yrds
Target- B27 (law enforcement target)
50- Rounds

He didn’t mention time except on the 25 yrd distance, which was 20 seconds for 6 rounds from 3 different positions. If you’re curious about the times on the other distances, he said we could use him as a reference. PM me and I can forward you his contact info. -Jen

Folks seem to like being able to practice with the 380 ammo and then drop in the32 NAA barrel when they hit the streets. They are $270 each. This includes the required 15lb wolf spring package and S&H. He has a waiting list for the barrels and only build them in the amount he has orders for. He hopes to be able to start production again in the next few months.

I’m going to have to ask Phillip about this one, that’s way out of my realm. I wouldn’t be surprised if he could create a way to do it lol. I know I’m boasting about him a lot but I am constantly impressed with him and I am happy when others take note of his work too. He would never get on here and post his own work (I guess I'm sneaky like that;)).
