The hammer on my Ruger beats the crap out of my hand when the slide cocks it upon firing. Leaves me with a nice raw rosy spot on the webbing of my right hand. Does anyone have any recommendations about how to prevent this? I've thought about a sorbothane type bumper pad under the hammer, and was wondering if anyone else has had the same type of issue.
