Ruger Hawkeye M77 Standard

Hi Im new to the forum and have a question concerning the forearm of the hawkeye. Wood stock.... When I push on the forearm there is play and I can actually push the forearm so its touching the barrel. Is this normal cause the barrel is free floated? Thx for the help.

Yep it's normal because the barrel is free floated. Just verify your action screws in the stock havent rattled loose to be safe. You should be able to freely slide a dollar bill between the barrel and forend on a free floated barrel.
