Hi,
what is acceptable rotation and
forward/backward play for gp100
cylinder. Mine has noticeable rotation
play(one that can be seen not only feeled).
It has also some forward/backward-play.

Hope somebodies got a better idea but I haven't heard it yet.

Both cylinder play and end shake are normal and not bad things if not excessive. Here's the fun part- whats excessive? It's kind of like trying to describe the color green to a blind person.

My suggestion would be to just take it to a smith and ask him what he thinks. Then good or bad news you'll at least have a basis to compare from in the future. If yours is good he might even have a bad one to feel or vice versa which will really help.

For whatever reason on my work computer I am not able to click on a link and go to the thread regarding checking out a revolver.
I did a search to no avail. Is there a way to access a thread by typing in the thread number? I'd like to read Jim March's original post. Thanks.

Jim has already posted the link. ^ On this thread.

Thanks Tony but like I said I couldn't access it here at work. I'll do it from home later. Still wondering if you can get to a thread by using the thread number.

Clint - Yes you can get to a thread by typing the entire URL into your "Address" window and pressing Go. To see the full URL (you will normally only see a partial URL as a link in a post), place the cursor over the link to highlight it. The URL should be displayed in your info window (at the bottom for IE). I'm not sure how procedure is any different, access wise, from clicking on the link, but it might work.

Also, you might be able to get the revolver info through our library link at the top of the page. The revolver checkout is at the bottom of the library list.
