FYI

One is currently at $201 on auctionarms. It looks good to me. I would go for it if I hadn't just shelled-out for two 3" M-10's at J&G, which I don't at all regret.

I've just joined this forum after checking it out for about a week and want to thank the posters for conveying lots of information that I did not have and probably need more than I imagine.

A couple of my coworkers are ex-NYPD. One of them still has his 3in GP100, as NYPD requires it's officers to purchase thier own weapon. Anyhow, according to him, NYPD required thier patrol guys to replace there revolvers hammers with a "spurless hammer" (effectivly converting them to DAO) after a high profile accidental shooting back in the late 80's. When he transfered Upstate he sent his gun back to Ruger and they replaced the DAO hammer with a SA/DA hammer free of charge. The guy still carries it off-duty, and shoots it very well.
