Yes there are lighter revolvers to handle!!! But I am starting with what I have right now. Any insight on a reasonable mode of carry? Thanks.

The Galco FLETCH is a good holster except that the belt slots are too large for anything shy of a duty belt. I'd prefer slots sized for a 1.5" belt of medium thickness rather than the slots for a very thick 2" belt. Otherwise, it's a great holster.

For less money, you can get a great holster from Rafter S Gunleather. It'll hold the gun high and tight to your body. That's what I use now. They're at www.raftersgunleather.com

You need a good dedicated gun belt for something that heavy. Not just a leather belt, but one that was designed primarily as a gun belt. Trust me on this, I occasionally CCW one of my redhawks. :D

Once you handle the belt issue. the rig is much easier. A decent holster either IWB or OWB carried at about 4 o'clock with a little cant should fit the bill nicely. A couple of the better rigs that aren't custom are galco, desantis, and don hume.

If you want a custom rig, look up Eric Larsen at www.hbeleatherworks.com , he can make you anything you need. I have SEVERAL of his rigs and wear his gunbelts. Several other members here run his leather as well, no complaints that I know of. Top-notch work. Tell him I sent you over, he'll get you set up right.

I do belts

This holster from Ted Blocker works good with any revolver. I've made two(to see how they work out) just like it, one for my m15, and one my for my SBH. They work really good, and can be worn in just about any configuration, and best of all, they ride HIGH and tight. Almost no printing under a t-shirt for the m-15.

Go to www.epsaddlery.com and view the Tom Threepersons holster, also the 1930 Austin. Their thumbbreak rig, I think it's Model 2, is also a superior choice. The workmanship is elegant; the photos don't do the products full justice.

Or, shop gun shows and dealers for used holsters of similar style from Bianchi and Safariland. The latter no longer makes any holsters that I'd buy: just high-tech cop and competition stuff.

If you are a decent fellow who has lived life well and is kind to your fellow man and to dogs and kids, you DESERVE an El Paso holster! :D

Many holsters for your gun at these links. Choose from 3", 4", or 6" barrel length.
