Ruger Cylinder Problem?

Yesterday, at a local gun show, I picked up a Ruger Bisley Blackhawk in 45LC. While cleaning it, I noticed that the cylinder seems to stick. I removed and reseated the cylinder a number of times. At this point, the cylinder will "catch" during rotation, but doesn't stick anymore. I have 3 other Ruger SAs (Super Blackhawk, Vaquero and Vaquero Bisley) and have never had problems with the cylinders. This gun was new. Any comments appreciated.

Half cock the gun to disengage the cylinder stop and rotate the cylinder while looking through the gap between the barrel and the cylinder. If the gap widens and narrows, the cylinder is not cut evenly. Oddly, this is not uncommon in revolvers and is often the cause of mysterious inaccuracy. It can be fixed by a competent gunsmith, but I would send the gun back to Ruger.

If the gun passes that test, check back for other possible causes of the binding.

I agree with Jim, send it back to Ruger. From all that I've heard, they seem to have an excellent customer service dept., many posts rain praise on Ruger for guns sent back to them being repaired correctly and quickly for no charge.
