I want to get a ruger balck hawk convertible 357 to 9mm. I would prefer a 5 and a half inch barrel which feels rifgt to me. Trouble is the convertible only comes in 4 5/8 and 6 1/2. The guns are not easy to find in a gun store so i havent seen one yet, but have held other revolvers.
Any anybody have anyting to say on which way to go ? I am undecided.
Thanks.

Well, I went 4 5/8 on my convertible .45lc/acp Vacquero. Mostly because I thought it looked best. It balances very nicely as well.

Which to buy?

As a "used to shoot cowboy" owner of a few Ruger Blackhawks, my favorite for looks and ballence is 4 5/8" Fast out of the holster, fast sight acquisition and accurate at distances I can no longer see.

Iv'e had the 45 colt/45 acp blackhawk convertable in a 4 5/8 for quite some time now, quite pleased with the balance and accuracy.

I have a new Ruger Blackhawk 45 Colt/45 ACP convertible with a 5 & 1/2" barrel and I love it. I am going to hunt with it, so I prefer the longer sight radius. I really don't think you can go wrong on either. It just depends on what you want it for.
