Ruger Blackhawk grips

Does anyone know when Ruger started using wooden grips on their original .357 Blackhawks. The first ones were black plastic.

I bought my Ruger Blackhawk in May of 1958, at which time walnut grips were a $5.00 option, though the black plastic were supplied also. Shortly after that, I believe, walnut became standard.

A 1960 Shooters Bible showed all the Blackhawks as having walnut grips.

Walnut panels were an option in the catalog in 1960 and by 1961 most .357 revolvers were shipped with varnished walnut panels.
