Anyone own or know much about Rugers conversion Blackhawk 357,38,9MM ?
I am looking at getting one as I liked the
357,38 blackhawk I had. Adding the extra 9mm cylinder gives a person 3 differant guns.
I am already set up to reload in 9MM.
This would also give my wife a very good
gun to use with the very low recoil from the
9MM cylinder.
I have heard the argument about the bullet
Sizes, But you can get 9mm in .357 and the 38
is .357

Any Info is always Appreciated

I've never owned one but have friends who do and they love theirs. The agruement about the slight bullet diameter is, in my opinion, over rated. The diamter of the two .45's (LC/ACP) are different as well as the diameters of the .44 mag./.44-40, which I built many of with no complaints.
Look at the success that Roger Hunziker, of Philips and Rogers, has had with their Meduza.
If you get one I don't think you will be disappointed.

I've got one that's about 25 years old. It's a great and accurate shooter and has caused me no trouble. The front sight is a little high for me and the gun will shoot low if I don't compensate for it. Would you believe that I have never used the 9mm cylinder :)

Well it looks like i'll buy one Saterday.
if they still have it in stock.
This gun is hard to find in my area .

Thanks all moe comments welcome!

Tonyz, I got one a couple of months ago and it has worked very well for me.
I have shot it a couple of times at the range but only once used the 9mm cylinder. I find myself using the 38 special ammo more because its just as cheap as the 9mm and I don't reload (like the nice clean circles those wadcutters make too!)
the 9mm bullet width is actually .356 so you have a 1/1000 of a inch difference between a .38(.357) and a 9mm(.356), in accuracy I haven't seen a difference. I personally think its the best gun to teach someone new as it is a single action revolver (you have to pull the trigger back, no shells bouncing off the side wall & your head like a automatic), one of the most accurate bullets around (.38), mild recoil, must be loaded slowly & one bullet at a time, etc, etc.). So have fun with it, I intend to teach my 14yr old son to shoot with it. Of course it's fun to load a .357 in with the .38s' spin the cylinder and shoot not knowing which one is going to be the Big BANG! LOL

Ok looks like tommorrow I am picking one up,
Just checked with My dealer and he has one in stock.(say's it has my name on it)LOL.
I'll let you know sunday what I think.

Thanks for the Info guys
