I found a Ruger Black Hawk that I bought about four years ago....hid it from myself I guess....anyone know its worth?

They are running between $450 and $500 for the New Model Blackhawk's NIB. Add another $50+ for the conversion model with 45acp cylinder.

Much better

Ruger used to factory fit an ACP cylinder for you. Contact Ruger to see if they'll do it. FWIW, I shot a couple cylinders after I got mine back and never used it again. Liked the LC much better.

So... let me get this straight. You bought a gun a few years ago, forgot you bought it, and just now found it? Wow! I remember every gun I've ever purchased, 23 in all, and I only have 15 currently. I can't imagine forgetting that I bought a gun.

Oh, it happens (especially as I get older).... I sometimes surprise myself when I do an inventory... Oh yeah, forget I had that one.... Ya see I have settled on a few favorites that get the call most of the time, rest don't get shot much....

I had one of those revolvers. Neat little piece (not really little with an 8 3/4" barrel). Think I got 350 out of it when all was said and done but that's just me. Most likely I had my eye on something else. Look into the "3 screw" models and see if yours fits into that category. Apparently they're supposed to be worth more. Also the hammer block safety conversion is supposed to effect the value, whether or not it's been modified or not. All in all sweet gun, cool that you just happened to find it after so long. Good on ya!

I've never seen one, but about 1963~1965 Stoegers advertised some Ruger Blackhawks with 9 1/2" barrels, or somewheres thereabouts.

Only 23? Wait until you have bought over 100, then see if you can make the same statement.

My 45LC/45acp Blackhawk with the 7.5" barrel is one of my favorite handguns. I shoot more 45acp, since it is so much cheaper and easier to find. I am still amazed by how much accuracy this thing manages to wring out of my middle-aged eyes and hands. You may be able to tell that it's a 45acp cylinder in the picture.

Got that booger on my short list. The versatility drew me to it as much as price. I been planning loading a few of them Ruger only loads for gits and shiggles!;)
