Ruger Bisley Blackhawk price check

I ran across an interesting revolver at my LGS. They have an excellent condition 5.5” Ruger Bisley 45LC/45acp Stainless Blackhawk for $500. I don't own a single action revolver so this would fill a void in my collection...plus it make a fine woods gun. What do you folks think about the price?

I was interested in the same gun in .41 Magnum. I never found one for $500 and with the extra cylinder, I agree with the other reply that this is a good price.

A friend of mine who is a handgun hunter swears by the Ruger Bisleys. If this is your first SA, in my opinion the Ruger Bisley is an excellent choice. The feel of the grip frame is not dissimilar to a DA revolver's and with the adjustable sights it will be versatile.

Thanks. That's what my gut told me, but I just wanted to check. I will be calling with my CC info in the AM and filling out the 4473 after work.

Advisory warning filling a void with a single action is a dangerous undertaking as they can be like potato chips. that's a good price on a great gun you'll enjoy. I have the same gun sans the acp cylinder. If you reload the big colt case is very versatile. You can load it mild to wild, even though I've found my favorite load (255gr LSWC @ 950fps) really works for everything.

I just bought one of the stainless Bisleys in 41 mag. They are neat guns. That's a good price. There were several on Gunbroker, both 41's and 45's, and they cost more than that. You'll like it a lot. Even my wife thinks it's "pretty." jben
