Ruger Bisley 22 LR - 22 Mag Cylinder

Will a 22 Mag cylinder for a Ruger Single Six fit a Ruger Bisley 22 LR frame?

Ruger does not include a 22 mag cylinder with the 22 LR Bisley like it does for the Single Six. Seems it should fit with proper attention to timing.

I realize Ruger will not sell the 22 mag cylinder by itself.

Thanks

Go to Google then type in this>Real Guns - Plan C, Ruger Bisley .22WRM< This will explain how to get what you are looking for.It is at least one way to get the converson! -Tim

I bought a WRM cylinder from a Ruger forum classifieds ad, and installed it in my early .22LR Bisley w/o any issues.

YMMV, however, since any given extra cylinder's arbor may be slightly overlong for YOUR Bisley's frame, and need a little fitting - and the cylinder/barrel gap checked for proper clearance.
You can either measure your KR cylinder and try to buy one with like or slightly smaller dimensions, providing a seller also measures correctly - or just take a shot and do it.
Extra cylinders are typically $50-60 or so.

Different bore size

22 long rifle is .22
22 WMR is .23

What is the bore diameter of the Bisley?

My Single six is quite accurate with .22 WMR, but not so much with .22 LR.

Does not sound like a great idea to me. I thought the Single six would be great, given the cost of .22 WMR I'd rather shoot my 9mm, with reloads it's cheaper and i get good SD practice with my carry piece.
