I finally got it to the range. With the scope bore sighted it didn't take long to shoot half inch groups of 3 at 20 yards in the center ring. The rest I was shooting from was just my range ammo bag sitting on the booth shelf. Next step is to take it out to where I can shoot longer distances.
I shot eighty rounds of two varieties of factory ammo and both performed well. (apologies that I can't recall the make.) Recoil is mild and trigger is crips. The bolt action is relatively smooth. May be a cause to take up coyote hunting again. In the mean time it will be fun to use it at a distance to shoot reactive targets like . . . old printers and toasters. I've got a buddy who has gongs out to 400 yards. Will have to have a go at that too.
