Ruger 77 Target Rifles-Are they accurate?

I"m a new member, and this is my first post on this board.
My question is to those that already own one-are you satisfied with the accuracy you are able to get,and would you say it was target grade accuracy?
I have one in layaway,in .243 Win.,and after reading so many negative posts about obtained accuracy in this model,I am reluctant to purchase it.
I have been shooting Savage Tacticals, and if Savage chambered this model in this round,I would most certainly have another one...
But,I was really impressed with this Ruger....The machining of the metal, and the smoothness of the action, considerably outclass my Remington Custom Shop rifle.........As a long range varmint rifle-it should be ideal.
To me it is well worth the money,-IF it can deliver in the accuracy department.
But,looks do not mean anything when it comes to accuracy.
So,to all of you owners of Ruger 77 Target rifles, how well have you been able to get them to shoot? And,how do they compare to other factory target/varmint rifles you have used ?
I know they need trigger work done, but they all do now.
I own and have used Rugers for almost 30 years, and consider them to be some of the best guns made. But,I need the opinions of some board members who are actually using them.
