A local shop has A Ruger 77 in 308 Norma Magnum. I didn't notice whether it was the old 77 with tang safety or the newer Mk II. I like Ruger 77s, although I know they aren't necessarily renowned for their accuracy, but I wasn't aware of this chambering.
When was it produced in the Norma Magnum? How rare?
Should I get it or the 1957 manufactured Winchester Model 94 they also have? (threw that in just to get a fight going)
In the seventies I came across a used Ruger 77 with the original style flat bolt chambered in .284 Win. I knew then it was rare and needed to be bought, but was a poor college student.
