Ruger 454 Alaskan

Can anyone tell me what the frame is built on? It looks a little different than the Super Redhawk or maybe its just the full underlug on the 454 version?

It's its own unique frame. It's derived from the Super Redhawk, but there are some distinct differences. I think it will take Super Redhawk grips, though.

There isn't any differences besides the lack of scope mounts and the front sight addition the roll mark. It's just a super rehawk frame. Dimensions are the same.

Please tell me what the differences are? I'd like to know

None

There are no differences that I am aware of on the frame other than no scallops and barrel being cut down to the shroud. The stock grip is more cushioned than that of the standard Super Redhawk. For what it is worth, I replaced my Alaskan grip with that of a GP-100 grip. It is a bit smaller and easier for me to control the gun.
