Ruger 338 mag m77

I have a Ruger m77 - 338 Win Mag last hunting season the shells in my breach didn't eject. I had to pound the bolt to remove them. This happened to more than one shell, I shot them all and resized and reloaded them.
I have run these and every shell I own through my rifle.
They are all ejecting just fine but...
Why would these hang up in my rifle?
If they were paper I would believe they swelled up but brass can't swell?
Anyone have this problem?
I remember it happening to me a few years ago.

OAL, improper resizing, high pressure. What did the cases and primers look like and what did they measure above the belt after you got them out the action? What loads are you using? More info needed. Pictures?

I agree with GT, and how are you resizing? Full length, partial length, or neck sizing? Are you close to max loadings?

Oh, and Welcome to the forum!

Ruger 338 win mag

Thanks guys,

The load is 73 gr IMR 4831 with 210 Nosler partition and Rem Mag primer.

Did I say the problem was an unfired bullet sticking in the chamber?

But then when I did fire them they required me to pound them out?

I have a full CCI resizer die for my rock chucker press.

I have resized them and reloaded them again and run them through my rifle and they don't seem to be hanging up.

Your replies made me think I had some spent shells given to me by a friend
Mixed in with mine maybe these were the problem.

I gave him a box of my loaded shells and kept his after I reloaded them.

If you fired that load with a bullet stuck in the chamber, you should have a gunsmith check it out. I would be very surprised if there was no damage.
