So I just want to thank everyone for all your input and help with my 300 blackout rifle. Unfortunately I had to send it in to Ruger, and was just notified by customer service that production on that rifle has been suspended and they are unable to repair my rifle. So now I'm to choose a new caliber rifle from there website so they can send it. I'm so disappointed with this situation right now because I have spent $200 on various items for that rifle, which I cannot return.

Tell Ruger you will wait till they can repair or replace what you had, you bought that model because that is what you wanted. They have only suspended production to work out the bugs, which should have been done before production started.

Another option is to have them return the rifle and take it to a competent gunsmith and see if it can be fixed locally.

It's the American Bolt action ranch rifle.

After going back and forth with them over the past few days, I just received a voicemail 1 hour ago stating they are now starting production again. So now I wait for my call back from customer service. Should I ask them to throw me a bone? Anything else I should ask them to do or check for on the rifle?

Ruger has replaced 2 weapons for me in the last 2 years. the replacements were perfect examples of what the guns should have been. I doubt they will throw in any extras but you could always ask for an extra mag. it can't hurt.
