Ruger 22/45 trigger

PLASTIC SIG

New member
I love my ruger 22/45, ive had it for about a month and have run 2,000 rounds through it already. The more i use the gun, the more i realize how the trigger could use help. Any idea's on where to get a trigger kit for the gun, or how to smooth out this problem myself?

Normally this would be in the smithy forum but its not really a smith question. more like a "where do i buy" question.

Thanks !

Tim :)

Why dont you get rid of that nickel plated sissy pistol and get yourself a glock. :::Tommy Lee Jones. U.S. Marshals:::

I've gotten several items for both my Mk II and 10/22 from On Target. Good products (Volq., Power Custom, Clark, etc.), reasonable prices and good service.

I have a suggestion based on my experience with Ruger. I've posted this elsewhere, but I sent my new, early 22/45 back to Ruger because a burr on the lip of the ramp was splitting bullets regularly. When I called them to arrange it I told the rep that the bolt ears were not cut cleanly and that the trigger wasn't at all as good as the one on the Single Six Convertible I bought in 1972. They polished the ramp, replaced the bolt and set the trigger at a crisp 2 1/2 pounds. All for free and refunded my shipping. I don't know what they charge or if their lawyers will let them do it anymore, but they do know how to work a trigger. John

I second the comment about On Target. From what I've read (and my own experiences with other Volq products) the Volq MKII trigger kit is supposed to be a fine product.
