Ruger 22/45 trigger

I am considering trading a Single-Six .22 in for a .22 autoloader and have heard that the trigger on the Browning Buckmarks is better than the Ruger 22/45. Why is that so and ... this is why I am in this forum ... what would it take to "fix" the 22/45 trigger?
Thanks,

Have a 22/45 that I use as practice before my 45's, have never had a problem with the trigger.

It has very little creep and breaks clean with some overtravel.

Does not have a low poundage pull but that could probably be changed.

Also, I think the Buckmark will cost more than the 22/45 so that may contribute some to the difference in triggers

I had an early 22/45 and had major problems out of the box with FTF. Called Ruger and sent it back and not only did they fix it, but they improved a very good trigger to a crisp 2 1/2 lb. and refunded my shipping! Can't tell you how, but it can be done. John

I put a drop in accurizing kit in my 22/45 from www.volquartsen.com. Went in easy and made a dramatic improvement in trigger pull quality.

Cost of the kit plus the 22/45 was still less than a Buckmark Target.

Good Luck...

Joe
