Ruger 1911 Commander grips question

Yeah, if the gun is made to Commander specs, then grips intended for the Government Model or Commander should fit.
Nothing described as "compact" or "officers size" will fit.

Grips

I bought some Hogue full sized grippers for my wife's full sized RIA and she doesn't like them so I put them on my new Ruger SR1911 CMD and they fit like a glove, (not OJ's.)

MAYBE....

The "should" but they MIGHT NOT!!!!

I can't say for certain, I don't know about Ruger, but don't assume they will fit, and be prepared if they don't.

S&W makes a 1911 pattern gun, very nice my son has one, It lived with me during his last overseas deployment. Really nice gun, BUT it will NOT TAKE STANDARD GI grips.

S&W moved the spacing of the grip screw bushings, JUST ENOUGH that the Colt or any grip to fit a colt will not fit the S&W.

I have no proof, but I suspect Ruger would do the same thing. SO maybe they did, and maybe they didn't, I just don't know. Hope for the best, plan for the worst.

Good Luck!

(and, when you find out, let us know, ok??)
