This may be a dumb question, but is it possible to convert a 10/22LR to a 22Mag, by changing out the barrel and magazine, or does the 22mag require a different bolt and receiver?
The bolt and receiver on a 10/22 WMR are much stronger than the LR version. It'd be cheaper and easier to just buy a gun built for the .22WMR in the first place.
