Ruger 10/22 rotary magazine

Of the three rotary mags I have for my 10/22, one of them is obviously weaker than the other two in pushing up the next round. I know a 'stovepipe' is not far away.

I see how the're put together, and I can put an allen-hex key to tighten up the inner spring by 1/2 turn or so like a window shade. However, I'd have to remove the rear plate of the plastic housing first. It looks like it might be adhesively bonded, ain't sure.

Are these actually made to be taken apart? If so, how?

All help appreciated,
John
