I have a ruby 38 special revolver. 4 inch barrell. I beleive it to be a model 13 Every time I shoot the thing, it jams. Appears that the small round bushing surrounds the firing pin, is worn concave. Allowing the spent shell to expand out and jam. Anybody know where I may get this small bushing part for the gun? Or can a new part be made?

Thanks

Ruby revolver? Do mean a LLama Ruby Extra? They are copies of the S&W but are not clones, I don't know if a S&W part will fit or not, how ever that's about the only way you are going to find any thing that will remotely fit. LLama has been out of business for several years. If you mean a Ruby revolver as in old Eibar type Spanish revolver you have even more problems with parts. There are none.

I am not sure either of those guns would be worth fixing, though the Llama would be borderline. An old Spanish revolver of any make is not only unrepairable but could be dangerous as they were made from cheap cast iron. If yours is one of the latter I strongly suggest you stop shooting it immediately. You might get parts for the gun; parts like fingers and eyes are harder to get.

(As an example, that recoil bushing should be made of hard steel to resist primer imact. Instead it is made of some soft metal that simply was not up to the job.)
