RUBBERS and T Grips

I do not like rubber grips on any firearm I carry concealed as they grab the covering clothing and they print like an exotic dancer's chest(I think they are swell on patrol or belt guns). Custom grips are outa sight in price now and the standard S&W Grip is not adequate for my grip on S&W J or K frame guns. But they work just fine if I use a grip adaptor. I like the Tyler T Grips that are manufactered by the Tyler T Grip Company in OKC. They fill my hand fill the grip so that my hand has a complete and steady grip on the gun's handles. For whatever it's worth.

I have a T-grip on my old 3.5" 27 and a Pachmayr grip adaptor on my 581. I like the feel, but on my more serious guns, I'm more than willing to shell out for wood from Eagle, Hogue, or Ahrend.

OTOH, Uncle Mikes makes grips out of a harder rubber compound that isn't nearly so prone to grab clothing as the neoprenelike compound that Hogue uses... It's ugly, but if the gun is always concealed, who cares? :o
