RR lower with colt upper?

Would it be ok, or should I not do it? I know theres an issue with some colts being that they used different pins on some of their systems. But if it fits and functions properly would it be alright to work with for a little till I get rid of the rockriver lower for a colt lower?
 
I would do it.

If I'm not mistaken it was the Colt lowers that came in two different pin sizes at one time. There was a large pin (normal/mil-spec) and a small pin I think.

That said unless you've got some strange aberration of a lower you should be able to put any upper on any lower OTHER than the Colt lower with the smaller pins... and even then I think its not so much of an issue because the pins used to hold the upper to the lower should still be the same size as other lowers - I though it was just the pins used to hold parts into the lower ie. trigger group etc. that were differently sized.

A RR (I'm assuming Rock River) lower mated to a Colt upper shouldn't be a problem really.
