Round hooded Eotech optic?

I was at a local range a few days ago and noticed a gentleman with an interesting looking optic mounted on his AR15. Out of curiosity I asked him what brand of optic it was and he said it was an Eotech. Now from my knowledge and just what I've seen, most if not all Eotech red dot lines have a square to rectangular style optics window, this particular model did not.

The design looked very similar to this particular model if memory serves (I unfortunately did not get a close up look of the optic)

Similar hooded housing, but sat low on the rails unlike the one from trijicon which has the mounting adapter. Has anyone encountered this particular model or could the man simply have been mistaken about the model?

Looking at EoTech' website revealed nothing as I have not come across anything in their product listings that looks even remotely close.

I'm not familiar with the different brands of optics since most of the ones I desire are way outside my price range.

Maybe a Burris FastFire II?

This one is in an offset mount, but if it were on the top rail in place of the scope it would be low.

Leupold DeltaPoint?

@ Shan, naw it was that small, it looked very similar to the optic I linked. Perhaps that was indeed the one he had, I'll never really know I suppose.

@palmetto Yeah, I'm sure he didn't have a magnified, the sight itself was not tubular in nature, as I mentioned, it looked almost exactly like the Trijicon one only it didn't have that mounting bracket that raises the sight ever so slightly.
