(causing you to lower the muzzle)


(Also consider, of course... what range will you really be using it at)?

You need an additional 150 thousandths (0.15") on that front sight. See HERE for options from Skinner.

I'm sure you know the right answer, but mis-worded your reply - with a conventional sight picture, placing the top of the front sight level with the top of the rear sight, filing the notch deeper won't accomplish a thing. The top of the sight itself has to be lowered. After draw filing the necessary amount off the top of the sight, the notch may also have to be cut deeper too, depending on how much the sight was lowered.
