I just bought this gun and I'm very pleased with it. Does anyone have good or bad things to say about it? I'm kinda new to the gun thing, have about 6 so far and don't see an end to it anytime soon.

Um, I'm not familiar with that model number; but Rossi firearms in general
are decent weapons. My wife has owned a Rossi model 88, 2" barrel SS
.38 Special in the square butt configuration since OCT. of '94 and its
been 100% reliable and a fine handgun. Fit and finish on this particular
gun is impeccable. Enjoy~

Best Wishes,

I, too, have had a couple of Rossi's over the years and found them good, reliable guns and good values. Two I wanted, but missed, were their .44 snub and their .22LR revolver. I was especially attracted to the .22, but lacked the funds when one was available.

Hi, Dan. Sorry I couldn't make it to the Bessemer range Sat, but I had some work that needed doing. Later in the day, I got to the FOP to exercise my AO .45.

Good going there shep 854 my friend, at least you got to do some
quality shooting.

BTW, I have a Rossi .22LR and a .22 mag in the showcase whenever you
get time to check 'em out! Take Care~

Best Wishes,

Dan, old pal, I DID NOT need to read that! :p Can you hide the .22LR for a few months?

Do you have a leather belt or paddle holster for a K-frame 2" snub? That should fit my Taurus 445.

No shep 854 ole'bud our holster inventory is way toooo low
right now. We have a good selection on order; but who knows
when they will hit the back door? :D

Best Wishes,

Rossi 972

I have a Rossi 972 and love it. It fits my hand just as well if not better than any other revolver I have handled. Good choice in a firearm!

Can any of you guys post pic's of your actual guns? The Rossi is much more desirable to ME than a Taurus. I would love to see a pic of an actual example owned by one you guys, rather than website or catalogue photo. In particular the lock-up area of the crane to frame fit. I could use a general purpose .357 and I would definitely consider the Rossi. The 4" is blue and for stainless you have to get the 6" model according to their website, unless your looking at the Stainless 2" model, Thanks! ;)

I need help, suggestions and advise. I just purchased this...Today HERE

Here's what appears to be my defective Rossi 97206. It may not be here much longer though...

Had an older pre Braztech/Taurus 971 Stainless (same gun as yours except 4" and fluted cylinder; now the new blue'd 4" ones are 971s and the stainless 6" 972s) and liked it very much. Lost it hunting many years ago but always wanted to replace it. Mine was a no problem weapon with "just the right size." Good luck!
