Ross Thumbhole stock for 10/22?

I am looking at building a custom 10/22. I have a thumbhole stock on my muzzleloader, and love it! I have however felt thumbholes i did not like, one in particular comes to mind that was on a Savage .22. I was wondering if anyone had this stock, and what your thoughts are on it. comfort? fit? quality?

Sorry I'm a bit late answering. I have the Ross thumbhole on my Marlin 60. It's a well made stock however isn't as nice as other thumbholes I've tried. My main complaint is that it's skinny....everywhere. The grip is very thin, the forearm too and the height of the butt is very short as well. It just doesn't have the sturdiness I prefer. I've heard others really like it so I guess it's just a personal preference thing...

I have a Ross thumbhole from Boyds on a centerfire Savage and I like the stock, however I also have a Prairie Hunter and the drop on it actually lines me up with the scope better. And I am not sure if their 10/22 stocks would have the same dimensions. If you call them they may be able to help you decide, and if you order one and feel it out before you install it they may take it back if it is unsatisfactory. I recommend them alot both because of the quality of their products I have and the service I have gotten from them.

Laminated stocks are a bit heavy for that light a rifle. Here is another option you could try.

Jim, the pawn shop actually had a .22 with that stock on it so i had an opportunity to try it. I did not really like the way it felt, so i opted for the traditional stock to be changed. weight isn't a huge concern I'm putting a bull barrel on it at some point

The stock on my 10/22 is a Revolution Eliminator. I own two of them, the one in the picture and one in PINK! I think it's a pretty nice all around stock. It has a very large grip on it, which for some may be too much. For me, it's my favorite part of it. Since buying the stock I've decided to turn it into a bench only rifle and am now using a Sinclair Forend Benchrest adaptor with great results.
