She wants to spend more time with her kids and maybe adopt more.
She wants to go into directing.She believes she has taken the talk show as far as she can
They aired the story on Extra last night. No rumor

I'll believe it only when it actually happens. Oprah did this "I may retire routine" 5 years ago. She kept on going after getting a huge contract renewal worth around 100 million dollars per year. Rosie may simply be playing contract negotiating games.

I think DC may be on to something here. Although the idea of the permanent shutdown of that mindless piece of garbage she calls a show delights me, her inflammatory presence may very well do more good than harm to guns right advocates. Either way, I think ol' Roastie is regretting the day she ever opened her trap on the subject of gun control in this country. She's definitely reapin' the whirlwind! 
Thanks for verifying the rumor, I can only imagine that everytime she leaves her home, she crosses pathes with a gun owner. And being big (literally), she attracts attention. So she probably gets more than her fair share of cat calls and other derogatory flames, and this is probably pissing off her girl friends. She don't look to happy on her show, we have won this one.

I am so happy it is so evil to own handguns that inspire all of these school shootings. I am also happy that Rosie feels that people who offer opinions different then hers should be corralled and jailed. I like hearing her bark, it allows me to understand the mindset of the average soccer mom who did not like history because it was written in context of battles, and is dooming us to relive it.
One question, I am not for legislating family morality, but does anybody else think that it is "evil" that Rosie is bastardizing these children. I would never point a gun in anger, I would never take the life of someone who calls me bad names; my father taught me how to handle those things. The breakdown of society is directly related to the breakdown of the family. Isn't it funny (strange) that the worlds leading moralist is raising more and more children in a single parent home? I am not attacking those who do, I was, but my mother never foaled a baby without at least being married.

This is a bit off the topic, but what a gas bag. I mean, it just seems like she could clear a room! I agree, her shrill and overtly extreme dog and pony show is awesome. Think about it. If someone "in the know" told you she was really a plant for our side, wouldn't it all kind of crystalize for you? Think of her doing the same thing "for" us instead of HCI, spouting irrational and extreme slogans on national tv about jailing anti-gunners, etc. Wouldn't you wince every time she opened her mouth? Wouldn't you think she was a plant? The best example of this is when, during the MMM, that Congress witch from long island (who collin fergusin shot her defenseless husband) said, "We want safety, not to infringe on the 2nd amendment rights of Americans". Rosey said, "I would like to disagree with that..." and made a damn fool out of herself while the OTHER witch winced. Go rosey! My favorite hippo-crit.

On the one hand it's no great loss, good riddance to bad garbage, but OTOH, DC is right. With obvious bigoted idiots like her blathering about HCI, she helps our cause immeasureably. Her biggest value is as a good example of a bad example!
But hey, the woman ain't stupid and she has a keen sense of timing. Her ratings are down (Survivors and Millionare womped her at the Tonys), so this give her an excuse to move onto 'bigger' things while preserving her illusion (to the sheeple) that she's creative and important. Here's hoping she sticks to 'entertainment' (sic), as if she went into politics, she'd be truly dangerous, lord knows she has the skills. Barf! Wretch! Gag!
