hello all,
here's what I'm looking at. command arms is making conversion kits for turning handguns into carbines. it works in pretty much the same way as a cornershot. it's a 3 pound polymer frame and aluminum barrel and you take a pistol with a reciever accessory rail and it locks right in and acts as the lower reciever/action/trigger group. it looks like a fairly neat design and they make seperate models for sigs, glocks, and XDs so they are specific designs to the gun you want to use in it. I kind of like it because for $500 I can get the ability to pack a rifle and a pistol all in the same package and all I have to do is press a button if I want to switch between the 2. cleanup would be a snap since all I would have to do would be to remove the pistol and run a bore snake through the barrel and clean the pistol like I normally would. also I know a lot of glock enthusiasts that would kill(in a matter of speaking) to have a carbine with glock's service record. so my question has anyone had this kit?
is it worth the price?
how is CAAs customer service?
does it affect performance at all?
they are all backordered so purchases place you on a waiting list, how long did you have to wait for yours?
if any of you have used it with an XDM9 that would be very helpful.
if you have no idea what I'm talking about here's the link

heres a link to a similar item that shows how it relates to your handgun(it's pretty much the same kit but requires an NFA stamp)
