Romanian TTC: Any Good?

Hello all. I just ordered a Romanian TTC Tokarev pistol from Classic Firearms:

These are advertised as in excellent condition, and come with two magazines and some accessories. I know ammo isn't as cheap for these as it once was, but the gun was priced right and I've always wanted a Tokarev.

I know these have import safeties added on, I plan to simply leave the safety off and ignore it.

Does anyone have any feedback on these Romanian Tokarev pistols? I am looking for those who've owned or fired them, not other countries guns. How are they? Are they decent and reliable, as a Tokarev should be? Any problems I should watch out for?

Thanks all!

It is a good cold war collectors gun with accessories. They are reliable and shoot OK. I would not use one for CCW however. You should jump fast .At 219 + shipping they won't last long.

Thanks I bought one, with some ammo as well. I can't wait to shoot it!

Has anyone else bought one of these Romanian Tokarevs?

I like the stars as well, and specifically spoke with the man at Classic Firearms to be sure they send me one with star grips. :D

The romanian TTC i got from classic about a year ago shot terribly, so i soon got rid of it. Only put 50rds through it after a very thorough cleaning and lubrication. Accuracy was very poor so i had no use for it. I would love a russian or polish example with a better bore. Good luck on yours. Sellier &bellot was my favorite 7.62x25mm when i had a cz52

Oh dang. :(

Hopefully mine is better. If not though, I'm out little for it. It was a $200 gun and change. I'm sure I'll be able to flip it if it doesn't turn out so well.

I have a Romanian and a Polish. Both look just about brand new. I don't remember where I got the Romania from but it's a great gun Polish i picked up at Aim i think. They shoot nice and accurate, both the bores look brand new . I even picked up a 9mm barrel for it a couple years ago. I think they're sweet little pistols. Both run without a hiccup on factory ammo.
It's on of my boys go to guns at the range. I'd buy on if I was on the fence about it. You can get ammo on line all over for right around 20 a box.
