Has anyone ever ordered anything from Kalinka Optics?

I want a new scope mount for my PSL. I want the one that is centered w/weaver base so I can install a different scope for it.

This is the product I was looking at, however I can't seem to find one anywhere else. Any reviews or "my buddy did this" would be greatly appreciated.

If you are just looking for a scope mount, then Kalinka will be fine. Service is likely to be slow, but I have never heard of problems with their mounts. Optics on the other hand have been "hit or miss."

Thank you jimro. I was loading a few loads yesterday and decided that I was going to wait until I found a load worth hunting with before I upgraded the optics. Right now it looks like it's going to be a while. It's going to cost a good bit I believe in finding a goodload.

I worked up a load for my PSL about a year or so ago. If you haven't heard, stay away from any slugs heavier than 150 gr, anything heavier will supposedly beat up the rifle.

I had hoped that .308 dia slugs would work in my psL, and they showed promise, but often unexplained flyers as well.
Slugs .311 in dia were more consistent and the Sierra 150 flat base Pro Hunter did best. Fact is, there aren't a whole lot of .311 150gr slugs to choose from, Sierra, Speer and maybe a Hornady. I ended up using Varget as a powder, with a charge weight at the lower end of the scale, not full house. The reduced energy may contribute to accuracy, it saves brass on the ejection cycle for sure.

Privi factory 150 PSP did not do well, neither did either brand of wolf, steel or brass case. My rifle responded well to loading.

This winter I worked a range card up to 600 yds with the psl, it went about 2 MOA the whole way, shooting 3 rd groups. Optic was the 8x posp .


Finding brass lately has been a problem.

Hi new guy here. I have bought a lo pro weaver mount for my psl and it arrived in about 4 days. I also bought the butt pad they offer to extend LOP, fit was good but a bit large for my liking did not "fit like a glove" but was a good purchase. Also bout a posp scope from them. Scopes seem to be hit or miss as from others at my range have found. Great service however and they took back one my buddy didn't like and sent a new one. All my purchases were separate so 3 times and never a fault I am happy with them.
 
Most of what I have seen with others scopes is poor ability to hold zero, elevation adjustments NOT staying true ie 1 click maybe 1/4" and another click slightly more or less. They work but just seem that some are more quirky than others. Just my experience.
 
Bama, I worked up a load with a Nosler Partition 150 gr. I only tried one load thus far but it didn't seem to like the .308 either. I was on the high end using Benchmark. I may drop it down a bit and see.
