These look like fun, for those of you who own a Romak III 7.62x54, how do you like them. I am not interested in the fact it isn't a real dragunov, i just want to know how owners like the rifle themselves.
I'd be a lot happier with mine iif it didn't have trouble chambering shells. Every mag, I get one or two shells that FTF due to the rough feed angle. I've calmed the problem by filing the front of the mags slightly, but it still hasn't gone away. Next step is to stone the feed ramp in the receiver, but I'm waiting for the courage to jump into my stoning hand to do it .
Other than that, the rifle's accuracy compares to my L1A1. I love it. Very managable recoil and muzzle-rise for such a huge shell.
I saw your ad. Hope you find one - you won't be sorry. Word of advice - get the PSO 8x42 scope for it. The 4x24 is very lacking in distance and sightability.
Here's mine after I painted it with 7 coats of black engine enamel and 7 coats of engine enamel clearcoat:
